This Month's topic: *Sustainable Communities*
The Sustainable Communities Act came into force last October. This Act,
in principle, gives citizens and Local Authorities power to make things
happen - bottom up, not top down. Suggested areas include renewable
enegy projects, energy saving, traffic reduction and encouraging walking
and cycling etc. *But, people need to ensure their local council "opts
in" to the process this autumn.*
