The aim of the Zero Waste Challenge Week is to see how little you can throw away over the course of a week by making a special effort to reduce, reuse, recycle and compost as much as possible instead.  Overall, people who have taken part previously have reduced their rubbish to just ¼ of what they normally throw away.

The challenge is open to any community group however large or small. B&NES Waste Services can help you promote the challenge by providing you with support, ideas and information packs, providing talks, attending meetings, and through the website.

The briefing event for the challenge is being held at Culverhay School, Rush Hill, Bath on Wednesday 16th July from 7pm-8pm.

If you would like to register to take part in the challenge or discuss any of this in more detail, please contact Council Connect on 01225 394041 councilconnect@bathnes.gov.uk

The Zero Waste Challenge Week is a fun but important way to recycle and compost as much as possible and think of how we can throw less away.  Already over 10 schools and community groups have already signed up to take part.

To find out more about the Zero Waste Challenge Week, residents can contact Council Connect or visit the Council’s website (www.bathnes.gov.uk/wasteservices).
